How to add Presets to your Lightroom

After you’ve downloaded one of my presets pack, depending on whether you are using Windows or Mac, you can follow the instructions below.

First unpack the zip folder you’ve downloaded. If you have trouble with your system unpacking, you can use an alternative free program like 7zip.

From Windows

  • Launch Lightroom
  • Click, in the upper toolbar, on Edit and choose Preferences (If you have problems finding clicking on Edit on finding any option, import a photo and then proceed again)
  • A window will appear, click on the second tab, Presets
  • Click on the button Show Lightroom Presets Folder…
  • Enter the Lightroom folder
  • Enter the Develop presets folder
  • Move here the presets folder you unpacked from the downloaded zip file
  • Restart Lightroom

From Mac

  • Launch Lightroom
  • Go to Lightroom and then click on Preferences
  • Click on Presets
  • Click on the button Show Lightroom Presets Folder…
  • Enter the Lightroom folder
  • Enter the Develop presets folder
  • Move here the presets folder you unpacked from the downloaded zip file
  • Restart Lightroom

In the new version of Lightroom, Lightroom CC 2018, you will have a direct option to add presets from the Preset sidebar once Lightroom is launched.
